Rescue Diver

Rescue Diver

Price $399 per person

“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.

The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.

You will learn about self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, and rescuing unresponsive divers.

Course pre-requisite is Advanced Open Water and must possess a current CPR/First Aid certification.

Exploration, Excitement, Experiences; they’re what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your SCUBA skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun SCUBA diving.

The best part…the Advanced Open Water course is specialized to focus on the areas of diving you’re interested in learning more about, such as wreck diving or underwater photography.

Sidemount / Tec Sidemount

Sidemount/Tec Sidemount

Having scuba tanks on your back isn’t a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Sidemount diving gives you flexibility and streamlining options. Plus, you don’t have to walk with heavy cylinders on your back – just enter the water, clip them on and go.

Along with learning about the many benefits of diving with a sidemount configuration, during one confined water and three open water scuba dives you’ll learn how to:

  • Properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment.
  • Trim your weight system and sidemount gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water.
  • Manage gas by switching second stages as planned, if wearing two cylinders.
  • Respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving.

Scouts

Scouts Canada SCUBA

Cub Scouts (8-10)
Scouts (11-14)
Venturer Scouts (14-17)
Rover Scouts (18-26)

This Scouts Canada Scuba program was introduced in 2011 as a partnership between PADI and Scouts Canada. Scouts Canada Scuba introduces qualified Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, and registered adult participants to the special skills, equipment, and safety precautions associated with scuba diving, encourages aquatics activities that promote fitness and recreation, and provides a foundation for those who later will participate in more advanced underwater activities.

The Scouts Canada Scuba experience contains two parts — Knowledge Development and Water Skills Development.

During Knowledge Development, participants learn basic dive safety information and overview skills to be used during their water experience. The Water Skills Development session introduces essential dive skills, such as mask clearing and regulator clearing. All of the activities are designed to be completed in confined water.

This program does not result in a scuba diver certification for the participating Scouts, but serves as a basis for the Scout to experience breathing air underwater and to consider becoming a certified diver.

Prerequisite – Participants must achieve the Scout Swimming Badge, or complete a swimming evaluation under the supervision of the scuba instructor prior to earning their Scuba badge.

Scuba in School

SCUBA in School

Unless your classroom has a pool, we must take the class to SCUBA!

A Discover SCUBA class fits well into many of the sciences, mathematics and physical education. It’s amazing what SCUBA can do! Our Discover SCUBA program combines a classroom component to discuss with students the basic skills and safety precautions of diving. Then, we’re off to the pool (pool and classroom sessions can be done as much as a week apart)!

At the pool, we introduce the basic SCUBA skills and try them out in the water. After we have some of the basic skills down, there may be time for a few fun experiments. Once students have completed the first pool session, an optional second session can focus more on the science (and FUN!) now that they have the skills down.
NOTE: Discover SCUBA IS NOT a certification and does not qualify students to dive without supervision or in open water.

Working on something special with the class? Do the students have some fabulous ideas? Let them develop their own experiments and bring them to the pool session, or we can provide experiments related to a variety of topics

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to –after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy SCUBA diving really is.

You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater and whether you like doing that or not.

You will learn what wearing SCUBA equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it.
Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable there.

Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full SCUBA certification course when you take the next step. All the equipment you will need is included in a Discover SCUBA Diving experience. You’ll use all the basic SCUBA gear including a mask, snorkel and fins, a buoyancy compensating jacket that also carries your SCUBA tank, a SCUBA regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply.

Just your willingness and undivided attention
