Greg got certified in 2017 at West Hawk Lake and immediately fell down the rabbit hole!
By summer of 2018 he was a practicing Divemaster for Diver City and by 2019 had joined to DCS Zoo team, cleaning the polar bear and seal tanks at Assiniboine Park Zoo!
Greg prefers off the beaten path dive destinations and is a lover of cold water diving! When not diving locally, you can find him diving in South Africa, in the UK or British Columbia.
When he’s not diving, he’s probably hiking, cooking or taking pictures of bugs.

For as long as Ashley can remember she has been fascinated with sharks, whales and all things below the surface, but never considered scuba. Ashley ventured into the underwater world in 2019 in our local Manitoba waters and quickly became addicted. Though she has a soft spot for the warm tropical destinations, she has found a new hidden love for cold water diving in our Canadian waters.
She enjoys teaching others and spreading the scuba-bug, so in 2022 she certified as a Divemaster and became one of the Pros. She is also a part of the DCS Zoo team and never thought cleaning up poop could bring her so much joy! Ashley is most commonly found at the shop organizing and scheduling our pool nights, lake training weekends, and other events, is the mastermind behind all things social media/marketing, and is always willing to help customers and divers to be.

From the first time Rick sank into the water above Barracuda Reef just outside Playa del Carmen in 2013 he knew he was hooked. He got his Open Water Certification later that year and has now made his way up to the highest level of a recreational diver, Master Scuba Diver. Rick can often be spotted in the dive shop chatting with the local divers but most of the time you will find him on our Diver City vacations. He has been diving in the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, the wrecks in Tobermory and his wishlist continues to grow!

Mercedes became addicted to SCUBA in 2014 when she accomplished her Open Water SCUBA Diver course. While she thought she would enjoy SCUBA, she was not prepared for how meditative and relaxing the sport can be. She moved into the Pro side of SCUBA in 2016 as a Divemaster and eventually became an Instructor in 2021. She enjoys seeing students first breaths underwater and watching their confidence grow as the course proceeds.
While she has travelled to the Caribbean multiple times to see: reef cuttlefish, sharks, majestic sea pancakes (stingrays), and octopuses (just to name a few), she does all her training at West Hawk Lake.
You can find her at the Lake during the summer teaching courses and looking for snails and crawfish in the shallows or waving to the small mouth bass. During the remainder of the year, she pops in and out of Diver City SCUBA to help out in the service department fixing torn gloves, hoods, boots, and wetsuits from the rental fleet.

Meaghan started diving in 2011 and instantly wanted to become a SCUBA instructor. After working and traveling for a few years, to gain diving experience, she became an instructor in 2015.
Although most of her time is spent keeping the dive shop and its hooligans under control, she always appreciates the time she gets to spend underwater. Meaghan is very passionate about protecting the underwater world and being a positive ambassador for the misunderstood sharks!
