September 2017, St. Maarten was struck by Hurricane Irma a class 5 hurricane causing catastrophic damage to the island. With the airport shutdown, much of the island was left unreachable. St. Maarten is still struggling to re-build, shops, restaurants and homes. Many families were left devastated in the wake of disaster who are still needing support. Diver City Scuba is travelling to St. Maarten Nov. 25th & we want your help in building a hamper for a local family struggling to make ends meet & a homeless shelter home to 20 residents.
Here is what we need!
The family of 3 children; one 2 year old girl, one 7 year old boy, and one 15 year old girl, all who are in need of clothes, toys, school supplies.
As well, Sister Basilia Center a homeless shelter who is home to 20 residents who need new things such as:
- Belts (around 8)
- Pants: (Female; L, XL Male; L, XL)
- Shirts: (Female; L, XL Male; L, XL)
- SOCKS!!! Adult 9-11, child 6-8, is mentioned as needed for several residents
- Towels
Monetary donations are welcomed in order to purchase specialized items.
